How should my friend and I start selling crafts?

Recently my friend & i started making crafts out of duct tape and were wondering how we should start promoting our products… and how to start selling them. website? commisions? help?
In my opinion etsy is the best place to begin – it not only gets your name out there but is well know for hand made items. Plus is is very cheap to list your items and the item stays up for about 3 months or it sells for only about 20 cents and a small percentage of the list price if it sells.
