What is the best age to take my toddler for swimming lessons?

My daughter will be 3 next month, and I wanna know if she’s old enough to go for swimming lessons. We’ve got a swimming pool and the safety net is not always on (aspecially on weekends) I’m scared to death that she will fall in, as it only takes a second. She fell in the swimming pool when she was only 1 year old but thank heavens I was around to get her out. But I’ll never forget that day, and the fear on her little face when I pulled her out of the water. I never want that to happen again, and if it does, I want to rest assure that she’ll be able to swim, or at least help herself to the side. I’d also appreciate any advice how to teach her to swim!

What are some crafts and activities for younger children?

The are around 10 years old. They’re pretty smart, and love crafts. If you know of any sites that have good ideas, then please tell me. Thanx!! ☺ There are two of them.

Where can I find fun crafts for kids?

I am a youth pastor and I am trying to find fun crafts for kids ages K-5. As they get older crafts are a lot less fun and most of the craft books I find only have crafts that would entertain the younger ones. So does anyone know where I can find fun crafts for older and younger kids?

How many calories does swimming burn compared to other cardio?

The calorie counters on the machines I’ve used tell me that rowing burns the most calories, then the stair climber, then the treadmill, then the eliptical, and then the stationary bike (if those calorie counters are accurate). How many calories do I burn swimming compared to those other activities? A coach I know told me that swimming doesn’t burn very many calories because the cool water prevents the body from heating up the way it does with other activities, is he right?

Does anyone know any good crafts to do with my sister this weekend?

She’s 8 and i have to watch her and she asked if we could do arts and crafts. I asked her what she wants to do and she doesn’t know. Does anyone know any fun, inexpensive crafts?

What is the name of the company where they send your child crafts and are delivered to your house?

More specifically, the one mainly where it is for the girl audience. They send crafts every month or so when you are subscribed. Every single month, they give you something else to make. They provide you with everything to make the craft too. A type of craft I have made before that they have sent me was where you get a type of red styrofoam heart box with different colored and shaped lips and square boxes that you can stick on the heart shaped box. Another craft that I have made was a white bandana that you could paint on, they have provided the paint and the brush along with it. I could also remember a type of craft where they provided the different colored yarn and the cross-stitching tool to make a sort of picture like a dog. And another kind of craft I could remember making was a type of smile, they provided me the tool as well. They had also sent me a white colored bag that I could draw on to make a butterfly. Please tell me the company!!! I forgot the name of the company. Thanks!
